Re-imagining 2021
The Arts Council of Placer County is moving forward and adapting how we support the arts in our county. As we carry out our Scope of Work on behalf of Placer County and the California Arts Council, we are fine-tuning our support in the area of promotion, and promotion of Art Tours in particular.
Placer County is unique in the number of art studios tours held annually. We would love to see these tours expand, where possible, to include all sectors of our arts community, including performing arts, dance, theatre and spoken word, and to serve all communities in the county.
Continuing our revised mission to administrate fewer programs and provide marketing support to organizations who offer programs, the ACPC Board and staff has determined that it is time to re-imagine the Placer Artists Studios Tour, held in the fall for the last 27 years, by seeking a new tour administrator. This transition helps ensure we can better, and more equitably support all art tours moving forward.
Please share your creative ideas! Enter your visions, suggestions, and thoughts on how the Tour can be more accessible to all, take a new shape, and/or adapt to increase the benefits to all.

2020 Placer Artists Studios Tour
We invite you to join us for the 27th Annual Placer Artists Studios Tour on November 6-8 & 13-15. This annual tour is Placer County's largest artist event, with 80 artists and 5 galleries showcasing their work for you.
Taking the latest COVID-19 restrictions into consideration, this year’s event will be a virtual Tour, AND many studios are open for exclusive viewing by appointment-only during the Tour weekends. Information on all our Artists and Galleries will remain active throughout the year, and many locations are also open beyond the Tour dates. Watch for a “special events” dates schedule, depending on current restrictions.
You will be able to access all the Tour information on this website by viewing the Guide Book. Always use the live link to the Tour Guide where information will be updated continuously as situations may change.
The Guide will be complete with instructions for how to participate in the Tour, including the following features:
- Profiles of each Artist or Gallery, including appointment information, links to websites, and social media, and samples of artwork.
- Online “Store” to purchase artwork
