Mixed Media
Halina Domanski
I do mixed media on canvas. Artwork description: I lay down up to 7 layers of acrylic paint. Dragging, smearing and scrapping are all part of the process. The process becomes mostly unconscious and as the process flies along I hold on and sometimes I lead. The end result is a vibrant, colorful painting.
Born in Poland. My love affair with arts started in pre-school. I started painting at age six. I was studying music, art simultaneously until the age of fourteen. Graduated of Nursing College with honors and my name got included in a “Gold Book”. Jan.1982 I came to live in the United States. Sept. 1984 I went to work as RN. I have always wanted to be an artist, but life became challenging at this point because of this new job, and a two-month-old daughter. I faced these life challenges, and create a strength that allowed me to take on any other difficult situations to follow. Also at that time, I became more interested in learning about acrylic paint. So in order to understand acrylics, I attend Yuba College art painting classes. I had workshops with Jim Bertram, Ann Baldwin, and Judith Hale – student Helen Frankenthaler. Today I am an artist, an artist who is continuously discovering, creating and enjoying art. My artwork is included in the books, magazines, and newspapers. My accolades include signature membership in National Collage Society, Inc. with headquarters in Huston, Ohio. To obtain signature status one must be accepted into three years of juried competitions. I had 131 juried competitions and over 67 awards. My artwork is included in many private and important collections. My artwork has been exhibited in galleries and museums across the US.

Gretchen Davis
Gretchen has a broad multimedia art background that took hold in High School and has continued as a life-long creative journey. She holds a degree Psychology with a minor in Art from UC. Santa Cruz. Gretchen likes to vary her artistic approach and subject matter in order to stay open to the self-discovery that can be found through the creative process. Since 2008 her creative focus has been on Acrylic / Mixed Media Painting. In 2014 she added Encaustic Painting to her creative exploration because of it’s free flowing and dreamy multidimensional effects. She often combines Encaustic with her passion for Photography. Gretchen is also a Certified Art of Allowing Academy Facilitator. She leads individual conscious creativity journeys and workshops using intuitive painting as an outlet for personal transformation and healing.
To her creativity in any form is simply a calling in the soul that must be expressed
to feel “whole” and authentic to herself. It is a way to channel her active imagination and energy in a positive way that brings her joy. She has a deep reverence for the beauty of nature and seeks to bring more beauty into the world. She believes that we are all born with our own unique creative gifts that need to be expressed to connect us to our Divine Essence. This is the reason she creates art. It is also what inspires her to hold creative space for others to explore their soul’s expression through “Conscious Creativity”.
Gini Crepps
“I have always had an emotional response to color and texture. I feel it, see it, and paint it. I find that it’s not the “what” of the painting, but the “how”…I think that is why multimedia, in all its varied forms, has become so much a part of my creative journey.” A native Californian, Gini has lived in the Northern Sacramento area since 1973, a graphic designer since 1975, and currently the owner of IQ Design, Inc. In 2013, she was very fortunate to open Gallery iQ…a dream come true…combining business and passion into one location in Rocklin, CA.
For Gini, it’s all about color.
