The State of the Climate – Presentation

September 12 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$8.00

Internationally recognized environmental scientist Dana Nuccitelli will provide an engaging presentation regarding climate change, its consequences and possible solutions. Nuccitelli has gained international respect through numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and through his book Climatology versus Pseudoscience. He has written about climate science for SkepticalScience.com for nearly a decade, and more recently for Yale Climate Connections.

After his presentation, local climate policy makers, influential community leaders and activists will join Nuccitelli for a panel discussion. The key theme will be how we can create a community that inspires, facilitates and celebrates actions that reduce greenhouse gasses. Community leaders include Auburn Mayor Cheryl Maki, and a representative from 350Placer.org, a group of local residents committed to reducing our current carbon level.

Think Globally, Act Locally: The State of the Climate, is designed so attendees leave feeling energized, supported, imbued with purpose, and connected to their community.
The Placer County Youth Commission (PCYC) youth leaders will host the evening.
