Lolo Gervais – Auburn Summer Concert Series #2
June 23 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
AAC & AAUW present the 2019 Summer Concert Series. Bring the whole family to this FREE signature community event!
Lorraine “Lolo” Gervais is a jazz and R&B singer whose warm and soulful vocals, stage presence and warm relationship with her audiences have made her a favorite on both the local scene and while playing different venues and festivals up and down the west coast and beyond. Her voice & empowering female presence has entertained and inspired audiences while she sings from deep within the music that she has loved since her first moments onstage as a child. She’s known for being a consummate and versatile entertainer who brings a quirky elegance and contemporary feel whether it’s singing Neo Vintage Jazz— or belting out Classic R&B and Soul.
This award winning Northern California-based singer stirs up a mix of classic modern pop tunes into a Neo Vintage soundtrack from the swinging 1920’s to funky 70’s R&B grooves. Playing classics such as Michael Jackson, the Clash, Sting or Rhianna as 1920’s speakeasy swing, on into playing old school grooves of Aretha, Marvin Gaye, and Staples Singers, Lolo and her band turn old classics into a brand new swing and soul party.
SEATING: For the enjoyment of all, those using high-back chairs are urged to sit on the outer perimeter of the amphitheater. In the interest of safety, please comply with the City Ordinance by keeping the center aisle and sidewalks clear.
CHILDREN: Children are always welcome at the Summer Series concerts. For their own safety and in consideration of the musicians and concert-goers, children need to remain with their family groups during the performance.
SAFETY FIRST: Please use caution around the speaker stands at the front of the amphitheater. This equipment is very heavy and may cause harm if it falls. Please keep children away from the cordoned-off areas around the speaker stands.
DONATIONS: Donations collected from the Summer Series audiences help meet our operating expenses.
