Auburn Winter Storytelling Festival

AUBURN WINTER STORYTELLING FESTIVAL FEATURES INTERNATIONAL TELLERS JANUARY 22, 2022
Storytellers from India, England, Hawaii and Virginia will be on hand January 22, 2022, for the sixth annual Auburn Winter Storytelling Festival. The event usually held in an historic Auburn, California building will be online at zoom.us this year. Attendees must register through Eventbrite.com to receive the Zoom link. The day-long event is free. Attendees may drop-in, leave and drop-back-in as they choose.
The program begins at 12:30 with 90 minutes of stories for families. Anyone can volunteer to tell a five-minute story. At 2:30 Ed Lewis, a professor of childhood development, will lead an interactive workshop “Discover Storytelling! He will give the nuts and bolts of learning to tell your story without notes or props. At 4:30 Open telling the invitation goes out to Tall Tale and other outrageous stories to be shared by volunteers from the audience. At 7 PM is the Featured Tellers Showcase where professional tellers tell for 20 minutes. This year highlighted will be Jeff Gere from Hawaii, Sheila Arnold from Virginia, Ramya Srinidhi from Bangalore, India and English humorist Stephen Hobbs.
