Auburn Winter Storytelling Festival

The one-day event starts in the morning with children’s stories presented by a retired Early Childhood Development professor and a historical character performer. After lunch, a 90-minute workshop introduces beginners to learning the art of storytelling. Open Telling hour allows anyone from the audience to stand up and tell a five-minute story to the audience followed by the Liar’s Contest which awards the biggest liar in town with a trophy. In the evening, there is a two-hour showcase featuring five regional experienced and sometimes professional tellers telling stories for grown-ups. The entire day is FREE.
