About:
Thirty years ago Peggy MacCarron fell in love with clay when she enrolled in a life sculpture class at a community college in San Francisco. She transitioned from life sculpture work to ceramic pottery, taking classes at the Fort Mason Art Campus of City College for many years. She is best known for her “one of a kind” functional pieces created with many different uses in mind. Her gorgeous ceramic platters, bowls, serving trays and vases will stimulate lively conversation at your next dinner party. Her pieces are fired at cone 5 & 10.
Some of her pieces have been used for various flower arrangements at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco.
Peggy is inspired by the different shapes, colors and textures of rocks, distressed wood and decaying walls and the beautiful environment around her home and ceramic studio located in Newcastle, Ca.
