I have a BA in Art History from UC Berkeley, and retired from teaching middle school in Dublin, CA, 10 years ago. As an English, World History and French teacher, I incorporated many art projects into my curriculum, which added visual interest and a tactile dimension to my students’ learning experience.
For a short time in the late 70’s, I studied with Bay Area artist Mona Froyland, and for 3 years I studied oil painting with CA watercolorist Francis Woodcock. For 30 years, the responsibilities of home, family and job left little time for art. In retirement, I have been free to explore my creative side once again. For 8 years, I participated in a painting workshop led by Richard Gunn through the Hayward Area Recreational District
In August of 2018, I moved to Roseville from the Bay Area.
