About:
I have transitioned from still life photographer to still life painter prompted by my natural curiosity to learn new things. I chose most often to paint objects from everyday life showcasing vintage pieces from my collection. I love the contrast of something old paired with something fresh. Inspiration comes from the local farmers market, a woodsy walk at the lake, or browsing for antiques. I paint wet into wet in a classic vibrant style on archival panels enjoying the process of moving paint around. For the past few years I have studied with academically trained award winning artists Kelli Folsom in Denver, CO, and Philippe Gandiol in Davis, CA.
