Jean began working on art projects with her father as a young child and continued taking art classes in elementary and high schools. She went on to get her BA in Art from California Lutheran University. Art, Home Ec, and Life Skills were subjects she taught in CA public high schools over a period of 42 years. She bagan her own custom Art business in 1979 creating fabric wall hangings for churches, homes and businesses all over the US and 5 other countries. In 1993 at Calvary Community Church in So. CA she designed the sets, costumes and church decor for the Christmas production that was attended by 15,000 people.
Jean was the first woman sculptor hired at Gladding McBean in Lincoln, CA and worked on pieces of architectural terra cotta for buildings all over the United States. She was a partner at The Place! Gallery in Lincoln and has done interior decoration for many homes, 5 murals in the Downtown Lincoln Art Walk and murals and the decor at Buonarroti’s Ristorante in Lincoln. Jean was a founding member of the Art League of Lincoln serving many years as Vice President and President.
