About:

Gretchen has a broad multimedia art background that took hold in High School and has continued as a life-long creative journey. She holds a degree Psychology with a minor in Art from UC. Santa Cruz. Gretchen likes to vary her artistic approach and subject matter in order to stay open to the self-discovery that can be found through the creative process. Since 2008 her creative focus has been on Acrylic / Mixed Media Painting. In 2014 she added Encaustic Painting to her creative exploration because of it’s free flowing and dreamy multidimensional effects. She often combines Encaustic with her passion for Photography. Gretchen is also a Certified Art of Allowing Academy Facilitator. She leads individual conscious creativity journeys and workshops using intuitive painting as an outlet for personal transformation and healing.

To her creativity in any form is simply a calling in the soul that must be expressed to feel “whole” and authentic to herself. It is a way to channel her active imagination and energy in a positive way that brings her joy. She has a deep reverence for the beauty of nature and seeks to bring more beauty into the world. She believes that we are all born with our own unique creative gifts that need to be expressed to connect us to our Divine Essence. This is the reason she creates art. It is also what inspires her to hold creative space for others to explore their soul’s expression through “Conscious Creativity”.
