A visual artists' network for local and emerging artists
The Placer Artists League (PAL), in partnership with PlacerArts, is a group of active visual artists who meet regularly for camaraderie, artist presentations and demonstrations on a variety of media and art related topics from award winning professionals. The league's charter is to support and educate local artists, encourage emerging artists and provide opportunities for exhibition and sale of members' work.
The PAL general meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month (except July). We alternate meeting times between 10am and 7pm every other month to accommodate a diversity of artists, with varying schedules.

PAL is a program of PlacerArts. To become a PAL member you must become a PlacerArts member. If you wish to participate in PAL you must pay the supplementary Placer Artists League participation fee of $20 in addition to your PlacerArts membership fee. Click here to join or renew your membership.
PAL Membership Shows
PAL members are encouraged to enter their artwork in the various PAL Membership Shows held throughout the year. There is a $3 hanging fee per piece of artwork. Click to download the exhibit form.
2015 Annual PAL Open Juried Show
The Placer Artists League invites artists to participate in its annual Fine Arts Competition and Exhibition.The venue for 2015 will be the General Gomez Arts & Event Center, formerly the "Placer Arts Building", located at 808 Lincoln Way in Auburn CA.This show is open to all artists and will be held in June.
There will be seven categories: 1) Oil 2) Acrylic 3) Watercolor 4) Pastel 5) 3-D Sculpture & Jewelry 6) Photography including Digital Photography 7) Mixed Media and Other Media (fiber art, pencil, etc).Awards will be presented for the Best of Show, as well as awards within each category.A People's Choice award will be recognized at the end of the show.
We are proud to announce that this year's show will be judged and juried by renowned artist & teacher Waif Mullins. Waif has won numerous national awards and has been featured in national magazines for his oils and pastels.
Entry fees are $25 for 1 piece, $35 for 2 pieces, and $45 for 3 pieces. All art must be original, no reproductions, and no larger than 36" x 36".
We invite everyone to our receptions: Opening Reception Tuesday June 2, 6-7:30pm, and Art Walk reception June 11.
